Compression Springs
It wouldn’t be wrong to define a spring as a “mechanical battery.” With this definition, compression springs are machine elements used to generate force (load) through compression and, conversely, to resist forces.
AYTEK manufactures compression springs in straight, conical, and barrel types with wire diameters ranging from 0.30mm to 16.00mm. The necessary processes for spring production are designed according to the DIN 2095 standard, selecting the appropriate precision and tolerances for the intended use, and production is carried out according to the customer’s requirements. Here, the customer’s specific requests are meticulously examined, and if necessary, information and suggestions are provided to the customer regarding the “spring,” ensuring flawless manufacturing.
The main parameters considered when designing compression springs are wire diameter (d), spring diameter (D), number of turns (lt), and the free length of the spring (Lo). If the spring force needs to be precise and meet the desired value, these parameters can be modified (accepted as approximation parameters by the manufacturer) using the free length and number of turns as references.
